The Wolf Safety TY-300 Portable ATEX LED Handlamp is a purpose-built portable lighting solution designed specifically for hazardous environments where safety and visibility are critical. Compact and lightweight, this inspection light delivers a bright, low-glare beam of up to 1,390 lumens using patented Directional Linear Optics (DLO) technology, making it suitable for both fine inspection work and broad task lighting. Its dual-use design allows operators to handhold the lamp for close-up tasks or suspend it from integrated swivel hooks to provide hands-free illumination in a work area.

Technically robust, the TY-300 is certified for use in ATEX and IECEx Gas Zones 1 & 2 and Dust Zones 21 & 22, ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards for explosive atmospheres. It carries the explosion protection codes II 2 G Ex eb mb IIC T4 Gb and II 2 D Ex tb IIIC T80°C Db, meaning it can be safely used where flammable gases, vapours or dusts may be present. The handlamp operates safely in ambient temperatures from −20 °C to +40 °C and is rated IP66 for ingress protection against dust and strong jets of water — attributes that support reliable performance even in harsh industrial settings.

The TY-300 is available in two length options — approximately 640 mm and 910 mm — and in both 110 V and 230 V mains configurations, providing flexibility for a range of installation and task requirements. The lamp’s construction includes a polycarbonate tube with anodised aluminium end caps, anti-static coated surfaces, and rugged swivel hooks. Standard equipment includes a 10 m H07RN-F-3 core flexible cable, and the unit can be fitted with various industrial plug types such as ATX, CEAG, Marechal or Stahl Ex, allowing integration with existing site equipment.

From a performance standpoint, variants of the TY-300 deliver either 1,005 lumens (single DLO) or up to 1,390 lumens (dual DLO) of emitted light, and consume 18 W or 26 W of power depending on model selection. Typical weight without cable ranges from about 1.6 kg to 2.0 kg, making the smaller variant especially easy to manoeuvre during handheld inspection tasks. The hexagonal end caps also allow the lamp to be placed on flat surfaces and angled toward the work area without rolling, adding to its practical design.

In terms of applications, the TY-300 excels in demanding industrial environments where safe illumination is required around potentially explosive gases, vapours or dust. Ideal use cases include routine inspections and maintenance in oil & gas facilities, petrochemical plants, refineries and offshore platforms, where lighting must meet hazardous area standards.
