EFi75XX – 12in / 30cm Electric Hazardous-Area Ventilator

The EFi75xx is a high-performance electric blower/exhauster designed for ventilation of hazardous (classified) atmospheres where the use of electrical equipment is permitted under defined engineering controls and site-specific permit conditions. It is intended for operation in Zone 1 and Zone 2 environments with known gas compositions, in accordance with the limitations of its certification.

The unit is whole-unit certified to ATEX, IECEx, UKCA, and InMetro, ensuring that all ignition-relevant components—including the motor, enclosure, switching, and electrical interfaces—are evaluated as a complete system. The EFi75xx is rated Ex db eb IIB T6 Gb, suitable for non-mining gas atmospheres up to T6, with an ambient operating temperature range of –20 °C to +40 °C.

The EFi75xx delivers up to 2,500 cfm (4,250 m³/hr) free air, with defined and repeatable performance under ducted conditions using certified anti-static ducting and adapters. A 17-blade impeller, thermally protected totally encapsulated flameproof motor, and robust anti-static housing provide reliable airflow for both supply and exhaust ventilation in demanding industrial environments.

Designed for practical deployment, the unit features an IP55-rated switch enclosure, extended power cable, and compatibility with FlowPath™ accessories to support controlled airflow and efficient temporary ventilation layouts. The EFi75xx is available in 115 V or 230 V, 50/60 Hz, allowing alignment with local electrical standards and site infrastructure.

The EFi75xx is commonly specified for confined space entry, continuous-duty ventilation, contaminant dilution, and atmosphere control in chemical processing facilities, offshore installations, marine and shipyard environments, utilities, and industrial maintenance operations where electric ventilation offers operational and efficiency advantages within a defined hazardous-area risk envelope.
