Refund policy

We want you to have the right equipment for your hazardous location. If something isn't right, unused items can be returned within 30 days under the terms below.

Returns: 30 days, unused items, RMA required

  • You may return unused, uninstalled standard items in their original, undamaged packaging within 30 days of delivery.
  • Every return requires a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Request one from ExSafe support at 800-636-5144, theteam@exsafe.shop, or our contact page, with your order number and reason for return.
  • Returns sent without an RMA number, or received after the RMA expires, may be refused.

Ex-rated equipment: what cannot be returned

Hazardous-location equipment can only be resold if its certification integrity can be verified. For that reason we cannot accept returns of:

  • Items that have been installed, energized, used or modified, or whose certification labels, seals or enclosures have been opened or tampered with;
  • Configured, made-to-order or special-order items (including items ordered with a specific voltage, plug/connector or certification option), unless ExSafe confirms otherwise on the RMA;
  • Ducting or cable that has been cut to length.

Return shipping

  • Return shipping is paid by the buyer, except where ExSafe shipped the wrong item or the item arrived defective or damaged.
  • Pack returns securely; items damaged in return transit cannot be refunded.

Refunds

  • After we receive and inspect the return, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
  • If a restocking fee is assigned, it will be deducted from the refund price.
  • Shipping is free on every US order, so there are no shipping charges to refund.

Defective items and warranty

If an item is defective, contact support for an RMA. Defective items are repaired, replaced or refunded under the applicable manufacturer warranty. Damage in transit must be reported as described in our Shipping Policy.

Cancellations

Standard orders can be cancelled at no charge before they ship. Configured or special-order items may not be cancellable once ordered from the manufacturer.
